  18. <p>     Moviegoers are flocking to see him play against type as the
  19. bad seed in The Good Son. But is America ready for MACAULAY
  20. CULKIN as an avatar of modern dance? We'll know next month when
  21. Culkin appears as the prince in a filmed version of George Balanchine's
  22. The Nutcracker. In fact, Mac is familiar with ballet: he was
  23. a student at the School of American Ballet (where he performed
  24. another Nutcracker role--mischievous Fritz), and his father
  25. played the Nutcracker prince for Balanchine's New York City
  26. Ballet in the 1950s. Renowned dancer Darci Kistler takes the
  27. role of the Sugarplum Fairy in the film.
